I hope you are all doing well and had a great weekend! Music is one of my biggest loves, I cannot go a day without listening to my playlists on Spotify. I could literally talk to you for hours on end about my favorite artists in music and my top songs of all time! (For everyone who knows me well enough Dave, Drake, 2Pac, Headie One, Nas, Mac Miller, Khalid, Logic and Kendrick Lamar are my all time favorite artists!) . I have songs that I listen to when I am happy, sad, angry etc. as I am sure you all do too. I want to talk about mainly the music you play when you are feeling low. Of course, it is completely natural to play sad songs when you are feeling low and upset, I do it sometimes just to let my emotions flow as they need to (Always better to let it out than hold it in.) but this is not always the best way to help get into a better frame of mind. So, I want to pass on to you amazing people the music that helps me feel more upbeat and positive in a few different ways with a good mixture of genres when I am feeling down. I hope these can help you too! Lets get started!
1. The Man - Aloe Blacc

This one is aimed for the guys reading this (Of course from the title of the song!) This song really does lift my spirit (Funny enough, that's the name of this album!) if I am feeling down about myself this song is really good to come back to in the sense that "I'm the man" there is only one of me, I am blessed, I feel good about yourself, stand tall and be proud of who you are!
2. Three Little Birds - Bob Marley

Right, now this is a song that absolutely everyone knows! Probably one of the most upbeat songs to ever be made! By the legend that is Bob Marley. This song I come back to over and over again without fail. The chorus I know speaks to everyone "Don't worry, about a thing, because every little thing is going to be alright." With a catchy beat and chorus it really is a song that can reassure everybody when you feel like life is just against you because one day, whenever that might be, everything will be okay in the end. An absolutely beautiful song.
3. Runaways - Sam Feldt, Deepend, Teemu

This song to me is just a feel good one for the catchy uplifting instrumental and lyrics, especially a catchy chorus. It just reminds me of good times when I have gone on holiday in the past as it just has that kind of vibe to it which has just a really good memory for me. It really just helps my mind take away from the madness that can be going on for me and I hope this one helps for you too!
4. I Can - Nas

Nas, is one of my favorite artists who is a very real hip hop rapper and just tells it how it is. Hip Hip and Rap is my favorite genre of music so this was an easy pick for me and this song in particular has stuck with me for so many years! The song is aimed at everyone and just simply tells us that anything you want to do in your life you can do, if you just believe in yourself you can do it! To be smart about your life choices too! If you know this song, you know how catchy the chorus is too along with a head bopping beat!
5. Make Luv - Room 5, Oliver Cheatham

This tune is just a dance feel good track that is guaranteed to get you moving and smiling without fail. It's an amazing dance / club kind of track but it never fails to help lift my spirits even when I am just listening to this in my bedroom. Give it a listen if you haven't heard it before, this is such a catchy song!
6. Up All Night - Mac Miller

Long live Mac Miller, another amazing artist who was taken too soon! Mac Miller has been one of my favorite artists from way before he was that well known and I think that's why it is one of my most loved artists ever! There was a lot of songs I could have picked but it had to be this one. The song lyrics just say to enjoy your life, be free, have good times with your friends and how good life can be when you do enjoy it. When you are feeling low it is so easy to forget this, but it is so true, enjoy your life! You deserve it! This song has been with me for a long time and will continue to do so. Rest in Peace Mac Miller.
7. Vacation from Myself - Logic

Logic is another one of my favorite artists as I mentioned at the start of this post. This song in particular is just so chilled and relaxed, I just absolutely love it, it is nothing like Logic has done before either which makes even better and more surprising as a fan. The beat with a catchy piano and guitar tune just fits so well with the lyrics. I always have placed this when I am on holiday, a feel good song because in my mind we all need a vacation from ourselves and life. To just keep my mind clear and happy as much as you can. Give this one a listen it is just an unreal one to me and I hope you feel the same!
8. Here comes the sun - The Beatles

Another song I am almost certain that everyone knows by the Beatles! It is just such a beautiful song and really does make me smile every time I listen to it. To me it just says the sun will be here again tomorrow and everything will be okay. This always lifts my low mood, it just automatically makes me appreciate life for what it is. I will be alright, I am still here. Always listen to this one when you are feeling down, I promise it will help you!
9. O-h-h Child - The Five Stairsteps

This song is just another great one! It is just so reassuring and an upbeat song to help lift you mood. The chorus is "O-h-h child, things are gonna get easier." and they are, some day in your life things will be better. I have played this at some of the lowest points in my life to help me cope and it has really helped when I have needed it.
10. Keep ya head up - 2Pac

I put a song in earlier for the guys so here is one for the ladies! This really is one of my favourite all time songs of all time from arguably the greatest artist of all time. In this song Tupac speaks about how men need to take care of women and respect them always! And that woman should always know their worth! This song keeps me upbeat as it sends such a good message across and the chorus "Keep ya head up" with the chorus from O-h-h child is just perfect! Keep ya head up is even in my Instagram bio for my personal account, sometimes I really just need that for me to keep myself positive.
11. Angels - Khalid

Khalid, another artist I listen to often has some many amazing songs. In regards to feel good, this one is quite different from the rest. The song with a beautiful piano playing in the background is about people who are their for others during difficult times. And this just makes me feel so blessed when I listen to this because in this sense I have so many angels in my life who look out for me always and make sure that I am okay. I know I am so lucky to have the people that I do, so even though this is an emotional song, this really does remind me of the people I have around me. I hope that when you listen to this, it does the same for you too!
12. Life is worth living - Justin Bieber

This is the last song on the list, like the last song this is another song that some may be puzzled as to why this is on a feel good list. But to me, this is another one which is a feel good in a different way. Justin Bieber is simply saying that no matter what goes on in your life, Life is worth living, sometimes I really do need to hear this and it really does help me when I am at low points in my life. Life is worth living no matter how tough things can be right now! I promise you all.
I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I have putting it together. After a rough few weeks of feeling down and trying to get back to a good frame of mind. Going through hours of feel good songs to decide from really did put a smile on my face while making this. I hope that you all add some of or even all of these songs to your playlists to help you when you are feeling down.
Remember it is okay to listen to sad songs and cry to help you let out your emotions, I do this too! But you can't do this forever, when you are ready to try give it a good. It will honestly do you the world of good! I wish you all an amazing Tuesday! Love as always. Love for music too!
