When you don't feel you are good enough...

What's going on you beautiful people! I hope you are all having an amazing weekend and enjoying your Sunday whatever you are doing! Today I wanted to discuss about when you do not feel good enough in life. Sadly we all experience this in our lives at some point and it can be really make us get inside our heads more and cause a lot of emotional pain. There can be many reasons for us to feel like this. It could be a people, work, the way you see yourself, ending of a relationship the list really goes on. I think the most difficult part of not feeling good enough is when you don't even have a reason to, like I always say our minds are so powerful and we cannot always control the way we think in my eyes. Our mind can just create a mindset that we can really struggle with. This mindset was the start on my depression a couple of years ago and has been an on-going problem for me to feel like I am good enough for people and just in general for everyday life. This has been on my mind a lot this week and I thought I would put a post together to help as much as I can with people that are going through, have gone through, or may in the future.


Do you feel good enough?

I want you to ask yourself this, do you feel you are good enough in life? This can be a difficult question to ask yourself at times, we can be so hard on ourselves but to try keep a positive mind on this is vital. Trying to find the route of the way you are feeling about yourself will really help you to move forward and understand yourself a little more. I know this is something that can be easy to avoid and I have been here many times. Because who wants to sit alone and ask why do I feel this way about myself, of course it can be extremely upsetting and I am sure you have all been there at some point. But the best way to think about it is that in the long run, you will really benefit from this as hard as it can be short term in that moment.

There are a few things that I do when I feel like I am not good enough for whatever reason, I really hope that these can help you as well if and when you are feeling like this too!


Writing things down that you like about yourself!


Write down a few things that you like about you, as much things as you can think of. I feel that even during times when you don't feel good enough keeping something in your mind that you like about you can be so good for the mind and it is something that I do every now and again to remind myself of the person that I am and why I am happy to be that person.


Talk to friends and family


I know this was I mention a lot but honestly in this situation it has helped me in many occasions talking to my loved ones and close friends about when not feeling good enough. People who are important to you and vise versa will want to help lift you up and I know that hearing a positive perspective from a friend or family member has really helped lift me up when I am really down about myself. Like I always say as hard as it can be, opening up can be a huge impact for you in the best way!


Think about past accomplishments or actions you have done!


Thinking about things you have succeeded in your past or even when you have done something nice for others can be a big boost for you to get back to feeling good about yourself. This could be absolutely anything that comes to mind! For me, I think of the hard work I have put into the jobs that I have done to go the extra mile to help others. It can be easy to forget in everyday life the good that you have done before, so never forget that!


Try not to compare yourself to others! (Focus on you!)


Comparing yourself to other people whether it is people you know well or not can be a massive hit on your self-esteem and how you see yourself, I actually spoke about this in a Podcast recently regarding comparing your own life to others, it might be that someone is at a point in your life that you wish you was at or you thought you would be at by now. This can sometimes make us question if we are worthy or good enough for that particular goal or thing we want in our lives. Trust me I have been there before many times! I try and snap myself out of this mindset as quickly as I can. The way I see it is that we only have only life, which is so short which how fast time goes, so just focus on you and the things you want will come with patience and hard work, whatever that may be!


Self Care!


As you know, I speak about self-care a lot on my blog post and podcasts, it is extremely relevant to this post even more so! Looking after you is vital in so many circumstances but in this case it can really just help you feel better about you. Looking after yourself is always going to make you feel good because you are doing something that is nice for you. Remember, the only person that can offer you self-care is YOU!



I hope this post have helped with looking at yourself in a better life. The whole process of feeling good enough can be a long and difficult road at times, it comes and goes and that is okay. I want you all to know that you are all amazing and beautiful, there will never ever be another you and that such a special thing to remember. You are all on this earth to do great things and do not let anyone stop you from living your life. We only have one and will not get another. I hope you are all keeping safe during these tough times!
